The purpose of the IUPUI parking system is to provide reasonable access to parking facilities for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.  Parking regulations help create an equitable system for all individuals driving to campus.  Anyone choosing to park their car on IUPUI’s campus is responsible for reading and understanding the rules and regulations.

Pay a Citation

Citations must be paid within 14 calendar days of the date of violation online, by mail, or in person

Unpaid balances are considered past due 14 calendar days after issuance of the citation and past due accounts may be sent to Student Account Services or an outside collection agency. 

Appeal a Citation

If you receive a citation you have the right to appeal it by following these steps:

Step 1: File an appeal online, by email, mail or  in person within 14 calendar days from the date of issuance.

Step 2: If your appeal is denied, you may request an in-person appeal by email or phone 317-274-4232

In Person Appeals

In-person appeals are heard via Zoom on the 2nd Friday of the following months:

Appellants will receive a Zoom invite with instructions the week of their scheduled appointment.

Important information before scheduling your in-person appeal:

  • Fines must be paid in full. If the appeal is granted a refund will be processed.
  • New evidence or information must be submitted in writing.
  • You may bring a witness; however, they cannot testify on your behalf.
  • If you miss your scheduled appointment, the in-person appeal will automatically be denied.

The decision of the Parking Appeals Committee is final.
